"If you want to know what your future will look like, look at what you're doing now. If you want to know what your health will be like in 10 years, look at what you eat, how you sleep, how you move, today."

This post will serve as a reminder to me of how important, exercise is and the benefits of it.ツ

Exercise is considered one of the most effective ways to optimize brain function. The body and the brain are interconnected. It is necessary to take care of both.

I do my exercise routine in the morning.☼This allows you to always follow the routine and set yourself the right mindset, feeling invigorated and in a good mood for the day.

The beauty of exercise is that it gets us literally moving, which stimulates the brain stem, giving us energy, passion, interest in life, motivation and vigor.

Exercise improves self-image by creating a balance of all neurochemicals, increasing serotonin, dopamine, norepinephrine, etc.  We focus on the positive, freeing ourselves from negative perceptions. Sports activities affect our mood in general, whether we have had a bad day or are depressed.

For young women, one of the main motivations for physical activity can be the desire to maintain a good figure. And that's fine. Always take advantage of anything that helps you move. Exercise keeps the brain clear, strong, and smart when changes occur in the body. With a good brain, a woman will calmly survive all the many hormonal fluctuations, not to mention life's twists and turns.

By exercising, I have noticed that I am more aware of how my brain works. You could say that I am strengthening the connection between my body and my brain. Running and sports have rewarded me with the feeling that I can do something, somehow manage my life.

By motivating your body to move, you force your brain to perceive life in its entirety. You'll have more strength and energy, less negativity, and a better sense of control over your life. But most importantly, you'll get into an active mode and stop sitting at home in a state of loneliness and stagnation.

When there is a decline in energy and a loss of interest in everything. The key to solving this problem is to move immediately. And don't stop. Set yourself a schedule of daily walks, jogs, bike rides.
or biking or dancing. If you can't sleep, go out for a short walk for at least 15-30 minutes and do it every day.

Sometimes you just need to get outside your house, for a walk. You begin to see the world through different eyes. This is evidence that you are able to help yourself. In any case, motor activity does not allow you to go deep into the depths of negativity. By engaging in exercise, you gain skills, mastery and self-confidence.

If you have never been active, it is best to start by walking. Walking briskly for about 5 hours a week reduces your risk of diabetes by 75%. Use stairs instead of elevators, park your car in the farthest corner of the parking lot, walk in the air during your lunch break.

When I feel stressed or anxious, the situation consumes me. At such times, I'm more likely to want to get on the mat and exercise. You can always make time for sports. For example, in the kitchen while waiting for porridge to boil, at work in the restroom, 10 squats before going outside.

The more stress is pressed on you, the more your body needs to move in order for your brain to function properly.

The best time to start practicing is when you're young, of course, but it's never too late to do so.

The benefits of exercise:

✔ They strengthen the cardiovascular system. A strong heart and lungs lower blood pressure.

✔  They regulate the supply of energy to the cells.

✔ They help fight obesity.

✔  They improve the plasticity of the nervous system. They increase the threshold of resistance to stress. They reduce the severity of anxiety caused by severe stress. They distract the brain and make it think of something good.

✔ They strengthen the immune system.

✔ They strengthen the bone system.

✔ Especially important for women. Help keep the hormonal system in balance at virtually every stage of life, including pregnancy and menopause.

✔ They increase motivation.  If you are not busy living, the body will be busy dying.

✔ Relieve muscle tension. Muscle activity plays an important role in memory consolidation.

✔ Help in the fight against anxiety and restlessness. Important for the prevention of depression. You learn to cope successfully with anxiety by not letting yourself be driven into a state of panic, i.e. self-control.

Everything in your body and brain - from your genes to your emotions - craves an active life. You are made to move. When you move, fire burns in you.

"Proud of myself. More and more every day. What a good decision it was when I started practicing sport in earnest four or five years ago. It's just an incredible sensation that can only be felt by someone who works out. After working out, positive transformations happen in my brain. It has become a part of me and my personality that grows every day, every hour. I'm really enjoying it. Just after a tough past day and today, just getting up on the mat and doing a workout?! That's discipline. That's the power of habit!"

After reading the book  "Spark: The Revolutionary New Science of Exercise and the Brain" by John J. Ratey, Eric Hagerman I learned a lot of useful things and how sports are actually beneficial and necessary for our brain and body.
