I’d rather die than live without passion.

Less is not nothing at all.

"The more things you own, the more things own you".

A year ago, I started to think about my expenses and income in more detail. I did not really have problems with the distribution of finances, but for a couple of weeks I began to think about it more and more often. Since I am a person who is constantly evolving, I came to the conclusion that I would do well to delve into this topic in more detail.

One day at the book center, while looking at the bookshelves, I happened to come across the Joshua Becker's book, "The More of Less: Finding the Life You Want Under Everything You Own". After reading it, I must honestly confess that it left a lasting impression on my financial life. From all sides, we are persistently offered to buy, buy and own many things. We work tirelessly to buy everything we think we need.

If you are tempted and immediately intend to buy the next thing you don't need (or the one you already have), then first step away from the counter so that the thing does not lure you in. Then think, "Will I need this thing? Is it really necessary to spend money on it? Will I use it? Do I already have one?

No one is holding a gun to our temple and forcing us to buy. We make our own decisions and buy things that we do not need at all and can do just fine without.

It is better to own high-quality and necessary things than disposable ones that will not serve us for a long time. Now I prefer to buy quality things, even if not in large quantities. They look solid, stylish and will last longer. It is better for my wallet than things that are a lot and do not wear well. I would like to add that I feel great, and there is no feeling that I have spent money for nothing.

By getting rid of the things that do not matter to us, we free up time and energy to pursue the things that really matter to us.

I got rid of a lot of unnecessary stuff that was just taking up space.

I advise you to clean up your car, your desk drawer.

Get rid of things you have not worn for a long time and will not wear.

Make your bed every morning. Junk and clutter attracts junk, and you pile everything on that unmade bed. And immediately trash gathers around it.

Wash dishes immediately after they have been used. In many cases, it is easier and faster to wash by hand than in the dishwasher.

Buy less trivia, coffee in bags, and unnecessary trinkets.

After each small purchase, we feel a surge of the pleasure hormone dopamine, which makes us feel good for a short time. However, this money disappears irretrievably.

There are more important and valuable things in the world than material objects and valuables.

I recommend reading this book.

Books about finance that I have read and can recommend:  George S. Clason's "The Richest Man in Babylon", Robert T. Kiyosaki's  "Rich Dad Poor Dad", Joshua Becker's book, "The More of Less: Finding the Life You Want Under Everything You Own".
